We all hate spam, and if your blog is full of spam comments your readers will definitely think twice about the quality of your blog. They’ll probably hit the back button too – never to return again.

How do you stop those nasty spam bots and piece of crap marketers from doing this? You need to activate the Akismet Spam plugin (already included) which requires a unique API key.

To get your API key by email, register at wordpress.com.

  • Check your email
  • Login to YOUR wordpress blog
  • Activate the Akismet Spam plugin
  • Enter your new API Key

I admit I wasn’t a huge fan of twitter a while back, I thought it was just another web 2.0 fad for people who want keep in touch. Looking at it from a SEO point of view, that attitude has changed. BIG TIME!

Twitter is very powerful yet very minimal.

I wanted to send twits from my cell phone for those times when I’m out and about. So last night I set up my phone to access my twitter account. Once I got it all set up (which only took a few seconds) I sent twitter a twit. I refreshed my twitter page and bingo there is was, I also noticed my signature I had previously set in my phone was also sent.
